Kylie’s father is moving out of their house, leaving Kylie and her mother behind. . A party is broken up by the police and Kylie has to call her father from jail. However, her mother comes to pick her up and announces that Kylie is going to be sent away to a summer camp for troubled teens. Born at midnight starts out full of mystery with the main character Kylie seeing a soldier dude stalking her that only she can see. Kylie felt out of place at the camp Shadow Falls, as she noticed very strange things about the other campers. Soon after her arrival she learns her suspicion about the other campers was taken only too lightly. Kylie learns the other campers are all supernaturals creatures, like werewolves and vampires to witches and fairies. She finally figures out she has more in common with vampires and witches that she’d thought and that her place is at the camp. Kylie has a hard time figuring out what she is. To find out what she is read all 6 and I think there is a 7^th book.

The Olympic Tobagganing

                                                                                                                                                                    On March 18th, it was the grades k-3 Annual School Winter Olympics. I was assigned to the tobagganing, the only event that was just for fun, and not timed. Every group was really heavy to carry, but overall, I had lots of fun. Along with me was Ambrose and Nathaniel, who were also pulling. After every whistle we would pull each other and just have some fun. The very first group of people were of course, really unorganized and hard to control, but it got easier and more fun along the way. Although tiring, some kids finally volunteered to pull their friends. There was one injury and about 20 crashes, but no one was severely hurt.

The other sports that there were was hockey, along with obstacle course, the event with the four way skiing, the bobsledding, the curling and of course, my favourite, the HOT CHOCOLATE! It was very fun to be there, because those kids are quite funny. It was fun and it would be awesome if we could do it again.

Blog Post 3: the K-3 Winter Olympics

     On Tuesday March 18^th, the Kindergarten to grade 3 winter Olympics were held. Some grade 7 students got the chance to help out with the activities that taking place. Some were tobogganing, bobsledding, luge, obstacle course, and curling, just to name a few. There was also a hot chocolate station that was available to the students during the designated break time. The original time of the winter Olympics had been delayed due to the cold temperature.

      I was in charge of the luge station along with Marcus. Here, the students had to go down the slide as many times as they could, and as fast as they could. They had 3 minutes in order to bring their group to glory. I was in charge of timing while Marcus was in charge of counting. Mrs. Jagassar’s group held the record with 97 times down the slide. After the Olympics ended, which they did by 11:20, we had to clean up, and head back in. The Kindergarten to grade 3’s went back to class while we stayed and enjoyed hot chocolate, and watch the high school three point competition. We headed back to class around 11:45. In all it was really fun, and I enjoyed helping out, though it did get really cold.

The topic I chose to talk about today is science. The last day of school March 28 on a Friday we had a quiz on types of bridges and supports. The quiz was one page long. On March 10 on Thursday we have a unit test on types of bridges, forces structures etc. On  spring break I have been studying 1 hour each day I have been studyng for this test, and I hope you all do well.     by matteo
